           Welcome to the Bendigo Family History Website.

 Branch of the Australian Institute of Genealogical Studies (AIGS) in Blackburn, Melbourne.

Members are on duty Wednesday and Saturday to help with any public inquiries and to assist with family research.

 So please drop in and see us at Goldfields Library Bendigo 251-259 Hargreaves Street Bendigo, Victoria Australia. 


  • The Bendigo Library will be back to 251-259 Hargreaves St opening on 28th January 2014
  •  The Goldfields Research Centre - BRAC will be at above address also
  •   AIGS Research Volunteers will be present - Wednesday 10am - 4pm,  Saturday 10am - 1pm

    New Library

                                         BENDIGO PUBLIC LIBRARY

    The Bendigo Public Library has an extensive range of Local History Resources including Gold Mining History, Newspaper Collections, Books, Databases, Photographs, Maps and access to other Genealogical Websites via the Library Computers.


    The Library also has a resource booklet for viewing at above address. This is not an extensive listing and friendly staff are always on hand to help with your inquiries.


    The Bendigo Library Goldfields Research Centre is open -  Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm, and Saturday 10am to 1pm

      BRAC -  Bendigo Regional Archives Centre is open Wednesday & Thursday 10am  to 4.30pm.
